The greatest of Spellcasters usually need assistance to complete their tasks. Some of the oldest allies of the Spellcasters are the imps, the small creatures who inhabit the darker realms. Often a Mage will summon one of these to aid him in her dealings. The relationship between a Magus and his familiar is a strange one indeed. They share a telepathic link through which the caster can see everything the familiar sees and can summon it from afar. Your familiar's presence gifts you with knowledge through your symbiotic mental link. Some mages give mana to their familiar to store for them. You can type "commands" to find out what you can do with your familiar.
